AS WE MOVE from left to rt in a period metallic character of elements n basic nature of cpds decrease and

nonmetallic character of elements n acidic nature of cpds increase        so

reactivity concerning the metallic n basic nature decrease and

reactivity concerning  the nonmetallic n avidic nature increase
