Expert Answer:

Forest resources are present in abundance, but they need to be used in a proper manner, otherwise it will lead to their scarcity. Humans need to develop practices to ensure that the resources are used in a sustainable manner. Over-exploitation of forest resources, hunting, poaching, illegal trading of animals, converting forest tracts to monocultures of commercial trees, making tourism arrangements, clearing huge areas of forests for agriculture and buildings are some of the ways by which forest resources get exhausted. Instead of such commercial practices, forest resources should be protected. Forest resources should be used in a manner that is both environmentally and developmentally sound. Forest is a vast and complex entity whose resources should be used with due caution for our economic and social growth, but at the same time by preserving its vast biodiversity. This will satisfy our material aspirations as well as prevent the exhaustion of forest resources.
