Do any stage comes when meristematic cells stop growing, i.e., stop dividing? If yes, when do this stage comes?

Some cells produced by meristematic tissue stop dividing and acquire certain changes to become permanent tissues of the plant. So during differentiation, meristematic cells stop dividing.
