Differences between brain and spinal cord:

Brain	Spinal cord
It serves as the centre for thinking, sensing, reasoning and remembering.	It performs reflexive actions.
It sends executive commands to different parts of the body.	It carries commands of motion from brain to the different body parts.
It processes sensory information that spinal cord brings from the body parts to the brain.	It returns sensory signals from body parts to the brain.
It has white matter at the core and grey matter on the cortex.	It has grey matter at the core and white matter on the outside.
