Reproduction is a biological process whereas a machine produces toys mechanically and does not involve any life. Reproduction helps in the propagation and survival of the species.
Machine produced toys are similar without any variations. The offsprings produced due to sexual reproduction vary from each other. No two individuals are completely alike. The offsprings show certain features of their parents and also differences.
For reproduction to occur, several other biological processes have to take place. These include RNA and protein synthesis, DNA replication, cell division, formation of gametes etc.
Also reproduction takes place in various forms in different organisms, depending upon their body features and conditions.
A machine can produce a toy from its raw materials, whereas a living being requires one or 2 living parents to be formed.
Reproduction cannot occur all the time. It depends on the organism and its environment. Also there is usually a period of gestation in most organisms. No such constraints are there for machine obtained products.
