difference between granum and stroma

The homogenous matrix of chloroplasts is called stroma. Stroma contains disc-like plates called grana, connected by lamellae. Grana consists of pigment system made up of chlorophyll-a, chl-b etc. Light reaction occurs in grana whereas dark reaction occurs in stroma.
