Expert Answer:

centripetal force   is that  by which bodies are drawn or impelled, or any way tend, towards  a point as to a center, while centrifugal force is a virtual force. it seems to be acted opposite the  direction of  centripetal force and vanishes  as soon as centripetal force vanishes.

centripetal force acts towards the  center, while centrifugual force seems  to appear  away from the center.
