CBSE Class 10 Answered
Describe with reason if nuclear energy is renewable or non renewable
Asked by saradamahapatra9999 | 09 Oct, 2019, 12:57: PM
Expert Answer
Nuclear energy is a result of heat generated through the fission process of atoms. Nuclear energy was considered renewable earlier because the element thorium and other new technologies may provide infinite fuel needed to power nuclear reactors. Although nuclear energy itself is a renewable energy source, the material used in nuclear power plants is not renewable and cannt be generated rapidly and continuously. Hence, nuclear energy is non-renewable resource.
