Reflex arc is the basic neural conduction pathway through the nervous system that mediates a reflex action. It connects the various components involved in the reflex action.
The sensory neurons carry the information from the receptors to the spinal cord. The spinal motor neurons are activated and the information is carried to the effector organ so as to generate the appropriate response.
