Reichstag is a German word which means parliament. In several German speaking countries, many historic legislative bodies are referred to as Reichstag.
Reichstagsgebaude, is a German word which is used for parliamentary buildings in Germany. For convenience, the word is shortened to Reichstag. Therefore, a building where German parliament met from 1894 to 1933 came to be known as Reichstag. The building has now been renamed as Bundestag where the German Parliament meets.
