CBSE Class 12-science Answered
define radius of gyration?
Asked by naren15 | 24 Feb, 2011, 06:08: AM
Dear student
Radius of gyration is the distance, from the axis of rotation of a body to a point where the whole mass of a body may be considered to be concentrated. It is given by
k = (I/m)1/2
where I is the moment of inertia of body of mass m about the axis of rotation.
Hope this helps.
