Dichlorotetrammine cobalt(III) i.e [Co(NH3)4Cl2]+ ion , is an octahedral complex that exists as cis and trans isomers or Geometrical isomer. When two identical groups occupies adjacent positions the isomer is called cis and when arranged opposite to one another the isomer is called trans.
