Dear shreyagoud@rediffmail.com
Thanks for asking us a question in Ask the Expert section of TopperLearning.com.
Actual question is:
For what value of a and b, the algebraic expression a3 + b3 - 3ab(a + b) equals 37.
Solution is:
Substituting the values of a and b from each of the given options, we get
(-2)3 + (3)3 - 3
(-2)
3(-2 + 3) = -8 + 27 + 18 = 37.
Hence, option (A).
A
a = -2; b = 3
(Correct)
B
a = 2; b = -3
C
a = -1; b = 1
D
a = 1; b = -2
But without the options it is not possible to find the solution.
Only after referring the options, we can solve the query.
