Expert Answer:

Mitosis is a process of cell division in which a cell divides to form 2 identical daughter cells. The daughter cells have the same number of chromosomes as the parent cells. In mitosis, nuclear division called karyokinesis is followed by the cytoplasmic division called cytokinesis. Karyokinesis occurs in 4 stages : Prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase.
