COORDINATION NO IN a BCC,FCC AND SIMPLE CUBE WITH BETTER EXPLANATION REGARDS

We know that the number of nearest neighbours of a particle is called its coordination number.Therefore, the coordination number of a particle in simple cubic arrangement is 6 since the particle is in contact with the 6 sphere (4 particles in the same layer, 1 particles in the above layer and 1 particles in the below layer). Similarly the coordination number of a particle in BCC arrangement is 8 and in FCC arrangement is 12.
