in inner spin complex n-1d orbitals are used and in outer spin n orbitals are used, in Co3+ 3d orbitals and 4s and 4p hybridise so it is called inner spin complex, and in Ni zero valent it has 4s and 4p orbitals so tetrahedral structure and outer spin complex. In Pt2+ there will be all paired electrons in [Pt(CN)4]2-so daimagnetic.
