(5,p) is the mid point of the line joining (3p,4) and (-2,2q)
Using the section formula for division into a ratio of 1:1, we get
5 = (3p + (-2))/ 2
5 = (3p-2)/ 2
⇒ p = 4
And p = (4 + 2q)/2
p = 2 + q
⇒ q = 2
Hence the answer.
