ADH (antidiuretic hormone) or Vasopressin is secreted by pitutary gland. Main function of this hormone is reduction of loss of water in urine. It caues reabsorption of water in nephron, thereby decreasing its loss out of body. The hormone is secreated more if the water content is less in body and vice-versa.

Additionally this hormone also stimulate the contraction of muscles of arteries, thereby encancing arterial blood pressure.
