Construct a quadrilateral ABCD when AB = 3.6 cm, BC = 2.7 cm, AD = 3cm, AC = 4.8 cm and BD = 5 cm.

Steps of Construction:

(i) Draw AB = 3.6 cm.

(ii) With A and B as centres and radii 3 cm and 5 cm respectively draw two arcs intersecting each other at D.

(iii) Join AD and BD.

(iv) With B and A as centres and radii 2.7 cm and 4.8 cm draw two arcs intersecting each other at C.

(v) Join BC, AC and DC.

ABCD is the required quadrilateral.
