Construct a kite LAZY with LA = LY = 6cm, AY = 8 cm and AZ = YZ = 7 cm.

Steps of Construction:
(i) Draw AY = 8 cm.
(ii) Draw perpendicular bisector of AY.
(iii) With A and Y as centre and radius 6 cm, draw two arcs on one side of AY, cutting each other at L.
(iv) With A and Y as centre and radius 7 cm, draw two arcs on the other side of AY, cutting each other at Z.
(v) Join AL, LY, AZ and YZ
LAZY is the required kite.
