Magnitude of above resultant vector is calculated as
If direction of makes angle θ , then tanθ = 2.920 / 1.979 = 1.475 , hence θ = tan-1 (1.475 ) = 56o
Above resultant vector can be written as
Hence resultant vector is of magnitude 3.527 N and direction is 56o North of East
