Angle of deviation δ = ( i1 + i2 ) - (r1 + r2 ) ....................(1)
where i1 and i2 are the angle of incidence and angle of emergence when a light ray is undergoing refraction through prism.
r1 is the angle of refraction and r2 is the angle of incidence on opposite side of prism.

Angle of prism A = (r1 + r2 )  .........................(2)

for mimimum deviation δm , we have i1 = i2 = i .......................(3)

using the above relations, we have   δm = 2i - A   or  60 = 120 - A  or  A = 60°

refractive index μ = begin mathsize 12px style fraction numerator sin begin display style fraction numerator delta subscript m plus A over denominator 2 end fraction end style over denominator sin space begin display style A over 2 end style end fraction space equals space fraction numerator sin begin display style 60 end style over denominator sin begin display style 30 end style end fraction space equals space square root of 3 end style
To get value of i1 we use eqn.(1):-  we have,  70 = (40+i1 ) - 60  or  i1 = 90°
