Let the four numbers be x, y, z and r
As per the image,
x+y=8 ... (i)
x+z=13 ... (ii)
y+r=8 ... (iii)
z-r=6 ... (iv)
Subtracting (ii) from (i), we have
y-z=-5 i.e. y=z-5
From (iv), r=z-6
Substituting these values of y and r in (iii), we have
z-5+z-6=8 i.e. z=19/2
Substituting z in y and r, we get
y=9/2 and r=7/2
Therefore, x=7/2
Hence, the missing numbers are 7/2, 9/2, 19/2 and 7/2 respectively.
