PQ = 8 cm, PR = 4 cm, PO = 5 cm, then

ORP, OR = 3 cm .......Pythagorus's theorem,

tan POR = 4/3,

But in OPT, OPT = 90 ..............Radius perpendicular to the tangent at point of contact.

and POT = POR

 tan POT = PT/OP = 4/3

PT = 4x5/3 = 20/3 = 6.67 cm
