can you please elaborate the difference between neucleophilic addition and electrophilic addition reaction

The difference is in the nature of the molecule that is attacking the reactant.A nucleophile "loves" (the meaning of the greek root word "phile") the nucleus while an electrophile "loves" electrons. Something that is a nucleophile will have either a lone pair of electrons and/or a negative charge, while the electrophile will have a positive charge (an open orbital that needs electrons).
When there is lack of electrons and a nucleophile is added to the reactant then it is called as nucleophilic addition
When there is addition of electrophile to an electron rich specie then it is called as electrophilic addition.
