SN1 reactions are those nucleophilic substitution reaction s in which the rate of reaction depends only upon the concentration of the substrate and not upon the attacking reagent.

SN2reactions are those nucleophilic substitution reaction s in which the rate of reaction depends upon the concentrations of both the substrate and  the attacking reagent.
