Yes a silver wire can definitely be used. But, silver is very costly.
The solar panel installation itself is very costly, and the silver wiring will increase the cost to a great level.
Hence, copper being pretty good conductor, serves the purpose well. So, copper wires can be efficiently used in solar panels.
