can we determine the focal length of convex lens by keeping the object at infinity?

Expert Answer:

Dear student
We can detemine the focal length of convex lens keeping an illuminated object at a very large distance but not at infinity; because if the object is at infinity we shall not be able to focus its image distincly.
Hope this helps.
