The answer to the first question is:

Use chain rule repeatedly to differentiate

d[2(cotx2)1/2 ]/ dx =  1/(cotx2)1/2d[cotx2]/dx

again apply chain rule:

= 1/(cotx2)1/2 * (-cosecx2cotx2) dx2/dx

put dx2/dx = 2x and simplify to get the answer.
