Weight of solute = 49 gm
 
Weight of solvent = 500 gm
 
                          = 0.5 kg
 
Molar mass of H2SO4 = 98 g/mol
 
No. of moles of H2SO4 
 
equals 49 over 98

equals 0.5 space mol
 
 
Molality of solution is,

 equals space fraction numerator No. space of space moles space of space straight H subscript 2 SO subscript 4 over denominator Weight space of space solvent space in space kg end fraction

equals fraction numerator 0.5 over denominator 0.5 end fraction

equals 1 space straight m
Molality of solution is 1 m
