CBSE Class 12-science Answered
attraction experienced by a metal sphere
Asked by yashir | 21 Apr, 2010, 07:04: PM
Since charge is induced on the metal sphere, which will attract due to opposite charge on the rod since the induced charge is close that the free electrons moved at the other side of the sphere, the repulsion force due to them is negligible as they move away. Hence there will be a net force of attraction.
