Expert Answer
In this case find the direction in which a positive charge moves. Use this as the direction of current. Then using Fleming's left hand rule find the direction of the force.
a) electron from Kolkata to mumbai is equivalent to positive charge from Mumbai to Kolkata. The magnetic field is from kashmir to kanyakumari then the direction of the force will be into India.
b) if an electron falls vertically down, take a positive charge moving vertically up. The magnetic fied is from kashmir to kanyakumari so the force will be towards kolkata.
Please try the other parts of the question, thinking on similar lines.
