Let the present age of Ashima = x years

→ the present age of her mother  = 3x years

According to the condition in the question, we get

(3x - 10) = 5(x - 10)
→ 3x - 10 = 5x - 50
→ 2x = 40
→   x = 20

Therefore the present age of Ashima is 20 years and the present age of her mother =3x= 3×20 = 60 years

5 year from now the age of Ashima and her mother will be 25 years and 65 years respectively.
