as you said the focus of object is in fornt of retina,not on it. but in our textbooks,it is given that the focus of object is on retina.which one is correct?

The focus of an object is always on of retina in normal vision,but in case of vision defects ,the focus of an object is either in front of retina (Myopia) or beyond the retina (Hypermetropia).
The image that falls on the retina is always inverted.
