as we all know that handwash are having soaps in liquid state but what is added in soaps so that it maintains in liquid state and not forming in solid state?

Sodium soaps, prepared from sodium hydroxide, are firm, whereas potassium soaps, derived from potassium hydroxide, are softer or often liquid.So,potassium hydroxide is used in liquid soaps with extra amount of glycerine.
