Expert Answer

228 =  30 + 28 + 26 + .....+ n term  = n / 2 [ 2a + (n - 1) d ]  = n /2 [ 60 + (n - 1) (-2)  ] = n [ 31 - n]

solving we get n = 19 , 12  n can not be odd so n = 12

so in top row logs = 30 + 11 (-2) = 8
