In an A.P. the difference between the consecutive terms( taken in the same order) is the same
So,
3rd term - 2nd term = 2nd term - first term
So,
(3k+2)-(k+5)=(k+5)-(2k-7)
2k-3= -k+12
3k=15
k=5
Check: by substituting k=5, we see that,the terms in A.P. are 3,10, 17
