are the angiosperms and gymnosperms a sub-division ?

In former classification systems, Spermatophyta was one of the major plant divisions, including all seed-bearing plants. Both gymnosperms and angiosperms were grouped under this division.
But under the modern classification system, Spermatophyta is a superdivision, and both angiosperms and gymnosperms are divisions, under this superdivision.
