I remember a student, Manju singh, has answered Gamma radiation and I approved it.
In actual sense no radiation is used for carbon dating. Carbon dating is the process of getting age of antque objects by determining the radioactivity level of carbon atoms present in the object. Gamma radiation coming out of radioactive carbon atoms is used to detect the radioactivityof carbon atoms and to determine the radioactivity level. In that sense, i approved that answer.
