Expert Answer
let the four numbers in A.P. be a-3d, a-d,a+d, a+3d (imp. step)
acc to question,
their sum =50
so we get,
4a=50
a=25/2
it's given that the greatest number is 4 times the least.
so,
a+3d=4(a-3d)
15d=3a
5d=a
d=a/5
d=5/2
using this info that
a=25/2 and d=5/2
you can find the numbers.
Ans- 5,10,15,20
