Antra invests rs 40000. She invests rs 18000 in 12 percent rs 100 shares at rs 7 and the remainder in 8 percent rs 100 shares. If the total yeild from her investment is 14.2 percent. Find at what price did she buy 8 percent shares

FV = 100
MV = 7
D% = 12%
D = 12
number of shares = 18000/7=2571.42 shares
Total dividend = 18000/7 x 12=30857.14 RS
 
Second investment
Investment = 22,000
FV = 100
MV = x
D% = 8%
D = 8
number of shares = n =22000/MV
Total dividend  = 8n
 
14.2% increase = 5680 rs
45680 = 30857.14 + 8n
n=1852.85
n=22,000/MV
MV=11.87 Rs.
