Calculate the combined focal length (F) , using the given formula.

1/ F = 1/ f1 + 1/f2  [ f1 and f2 are  the focal lengths of convex and concave lenses in metre.]

then, calculate combined power D = 1/ F ( in metre)

If the D comes out to be positive , combination will behave as convergent and if it is negative the combination will behave as divergent.
