CBSE Class 12-science Answered
an electron and a proton are accelerated through the same potential. which one and the two has(1)greater value of de-broglie wavelength associated with it and(2)less momentum?justify the answer.

Dear student
The mass of electron is less than that of proton, hence the de-broglie wavelength[ λ=h/(2mk)1/2 ]of electron will be greater than that of proton.
The mass of electron is less than that of proton, hence its momentum (mv) will be less than that of proton.
Hope this clarifies your doubt.
