Let us consider ant and mosquito are started from the point A and reach the diagonally opposite point G .
Let a be the side of cubical room.
Minimum distance travelled by ant AC + CG = ( √2 + 1 ) a
Minimum distance travelled by mosquito AG = √3 a
Displacement in both the cases = AG = √3 a
