Harmful Effect of Alcohol Consumption:

 

1.  Long-term alcohol leads to ageing of brain, blurred or double vision, impaired judgement of distance, slowing down of the nerve impulse.
2. The liver is affected by excessive drinking. It happens due to the reduction in enzyme production and the accumulation of fat and glycogen in hepatic cells.
3. Alcohol consumption increases blood pressure which affects the working of the heart.
4.  It also reduces the glucose level in the blood.
