A wire of reistance 10 ohm is bent in form of a closed circle. What is the effective resistance between the two points at the ends of any diameter of circle

Expert Answer:

The wire is bent to form a closed circle So, the two parts are assumed to be  connected in parellel (because they have diff. amount of current that flow through them)

So,equivalent resistance

1/R = 1/5 + 1/5

1/R = 2/5

R = 5/2 = 2.5 ohms
