A wire is stretched to make it 1% longer. Find % change in resistance

Expert Answer:

l' = l + .01 l , from this find the value of l' / l

l  -----> length of the wire

A / A'=l' / l  --------(1.)

now use the formula R = ρ l / A

and R' = ρ l' / A', divide the equation you will get the equation in terms of R, R',A',A,l',l now replace A/A' by equation

and put the value of l'/l from above and find the change in resistance.
