a) Magnetic field: The space surrounding a magnet upto which it shows its magnetic effect is known as the magnetic field of the magnet.
b) The direction of magnetic field at a point is determined by placing small magnetic compass at that point. The direction of North Pole of compass needle gives the direction of magnetic field at a point.
c) The magnetic field at the centre of a current carrying circular loop is a straight line whose ‘N" pole is towards that side of circular loop, where current leaves the circular loop.
