Here, in right triangle, A'C is known and we want to calculate AC.
And as per the given information, AB = BA'.
That is, we need to calculate lengths A'B and BC of the right triangle A'BC.
Now, A'C is known and BC is to be calculated. It can be calculated by using the trigonometric ratio tan.
 
And, A'C is known and A'B is to be calculated. It can be calculated by using the trigonometric ratio cos.
 
Thus, the two lengths and hence the height of the tree can be calculated as below:
