A train travels a distance of 20 km with a uniform speed of 60 km/hr.It travels another distance of 40 km with a uniform speed of 80 km/hr.Calculate the average speed of the train ?

- Calculate the time of travelling the distance of 20km at a speed of 60 km/hr by using the formula
- Similarly, calculate the time of travelling the distance of 40km at a speed of 80 km/hr by using the same formula.
- Add up both the time durations to get a total time of travel, also, add the total distance of travel (i.e 20 km +40 km = 60 km)
- Substitute the values of total time of travel and the total distance of travel in the above-mentioned formula to get the average speed of the train.
